Canada to aid their decision making about immigrating to Alberta, Canada. To qualify, a UK family physician/general practitioner with their CCT/JCPTGP must have written and passed the Medical Council of Canada Evaluating Exam (MCCEE) and be deemed eligible to practice as a General Practitioner / Family Physician by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA). The physician must be in receipt of the College 'Eligibility" letter to start the process and in receipt of the "Application Approved" letter prior to a Work Permit application commencing. The Alberta Rural Physician Action Plan (RPAP) is an independent not-for-profit company funded by Alberta Health & Wellness. The RPAP was established in 1991 by the Government of Alberta and provides a provincially-focused comprehensive, integrated and sustained program for the education, recruitment and retention of physicians for rural practice.
